Shelly grew up watching the women in her family care for hair the Jamaican way — with patience, with intention, and with a deep respect for what healthy hair really requires. Coconut oil warmed on the stove. Scalp massages that lasted the length of a good story.
She carried those traditions into a decade of professional training — learning the modern techniques that keep locs strong, braids gentle, silk press smooth, and men's cuts and beards razor-sharp, without ever sacrificing the health of the hair.
Royal Trends Hair Salon is the studio she built from both worlds — a place where every appointment is a ritual, every client is treated as one of a kind, and every strand leaves healthier than it arrived.
